What do you get when you take a ridiculously beautiful couple from Brisbane, a Hungarian Dad, team Tango and a group of 60 family and friends ready to party… and strand them all on the most magnificent beach in FNQ?

You get magic.

Mel & Pat welcomed us into their romantic sanctuary on Trinity Beach, and it was as though we’ve been friends since the dawn of time. Their warmth, their openness, and their undeniable love for each other infected everyone present, and, frankly, our jaws are still sore from smiling the whole weekend away.

But you just couldn’t help it – it was magic.

You pinch yourself as you watch the couple get lost in their moments of bliss, with the balmy breeze and the delicious smell of seawater in the air. It was like witnessing pure happiness, and to be a part of something so indescribably beautiful – it was magic.

We didn’t want the celebrations to end. No one did. We wanted to sing, and dance, and busk in the wonder of how such perfect moments in life could be possible. And we want to do it all over again, right now!

It wasn’t the words that were spoken, neither was it the infectious laughters that echoed through the winds long into the joyous night. It was just the way Mel would radiate with happiness as Pat’s eyes squinted into a smile when they met eyes.
