Love knows no limits, love obeys no rules, and love transcends all boundaries.
Tej, prized daughter from a strict Sikh family, with a proud rebellious streak. Petrit, a slightly wild and crazy nature boy with fiery Albanian blood running strong within him.
When two worlds that are so different and worlds apart are brought together by passion, by rollercoasters, and by love- you expect fireworks, and with Tej and Petrit, it was helluva unforgettable extravaganza.
The colours that shone so brightly on their wedding day was only overshadowed by the couple’s neverending smiles till the very last dance. The thumping beats of the drums were only drowned out by beautiful laughter each time Petrit and Tej whispered into each other’s ears.
I learnt so much from these two. Of never taking no for an answer, of challenging the odds, and of always putting up a good fight in the name of love. Because, in a country where people of all backgrounds, of all religions, and of all walks of life can come together to celebrate the wedding of two destined lovers, I learnt that it is love, pure simple love, that connects us all.
And as Petrit gently kisses the nape of her neck, and as Tej closes her eyes, losing herself in his embrace, you just know that this love and this marriage can only grow, harder, better, faster and stronger.
